Renewable energy, especially in India, is growing rapidly🚀

In order to support further growth, MNRE (The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy) has extended the subsidy scheme to foster growth.

Earlier households have to get the solar rooftop from the listed vendors to get subsidies. These listed vendors were not easily available, leave alone the awareness people had about such schemes.

Now you can get the rooftop installed by yourself or any vendor of your wish. You just have to inform your electricity provider (DISCOM) and take a photograph of the installed system.

If you are wondering what the subsidy is, here it is:

The subsidy to be given by the Govt of India which is 40% for the rooftop of up to 3KW capacity and 20% beyond that up to 10KW will be credited to the account of the householder by the DISCOM within 30 days of the installation.

That’s amazing, isn’t it?
Here’s more. You will also be given ‘net-metering’ within 15 days. You can learn more about net metering here.

You can also apply for the subsidy scheme by visiting here; click on ‘Apply for Rooftop Solar’ and select your State & Electricity provider accordingly.
